About: This tropical plant is native to the coastal mountains of south-eastern Brazil. Pink, red or white blooms appear during the holiday and winter seasons when nights are long and temperatures are cool.

Location + Light: Part sun. East or West-facing window.

Temperature:  70-80 degrees in summer. 50-60 degrees in winter.

Humidity: Prefers humid environments, so a bathroom or kitchen is ideal

Water: Keep soil moist during bloom time. When not in bloom, let the top ⅔’rds of the soil dry between waterings. Don’t let the roots sit in water.

Food: Every 2 weeks spring through fall. Once per month in winter.

Arber Product: Organic Plant Food, Organic Bio Insecticide, and Organic Bio Protectant

Pests + Diseases: Mealy bugs and, if over-watered, root rot

Poinsettia

About: Native to tropical forests of Mexico and Central America where it grows as a 10-15 ft perennial shrub. Features festive red, white, pink and pale yellow foliage. The “flowers” are actually modified leaves, called bracts.
Location + Light: Full to partial sun. South facing window.

Temperature: 65-75 degrees.

Humidity: Prefers humid areas. Use a humidifier or regularly mist with water.

Water: Water thoroughly when the top of the soil feels dry. Don’t let the roots sit in water

Food: Every 2 weeks

Arber Product: Organic Plant Food

Pests + Diseases: Leaf drop if it gets too dry, soggy, or cold.

Toxicity: Poinsettia is poisonous to animals if consumed. The milky sap of broken leaves can cause skin irritations for folks that have a latex allergy.

*Pro Tip: To have poinsettia that lasts through the holiday season, purchase a plant that has little or no yellow pollen showing. Once the yellow pollen is released, the plant will drop its leaves.

Amaryllis

About: A low-maintenance and festive bulb flower that grows well in pots indoors during the holiday season. Variegated colorful blooms include white, green, orange, red, pink, purple, and pale yellow.

Location + Light: Bright, indirect sunlight. East or West facing window.

Temperature: 50-70 degrees

Humidity: Prefers dry air

Water: Water sparingly until you see about 2" of growth from sprouting leaves or a stalk. From then on, water regularly to ensure soil remains consistently moist.

Food: The stored bulb contains all the "food" your amaryllis needs to sprout and bloom. If you decide to keep your amaryllis for re-blooming next year, you'll need to fertilize it twice per month after the blooms die.

Arber Product: Organic Bio Protectant. Before blooms open, lightly spritz the green foliage with Bio Protectant to help preserve the vitality of the plant all season long.

Location + Light: Bright, indirect light. Keep away from heaters, vents and fireplaces.

Temperature: 60-70 degrees

Water: Daily. Keep potted root balls constantly moist. Cut trees about 6ft tall need 1 gallon of water every day for the first week, then 1-2 gallons per week through the rest of the season. Taller cut trees may need more water.

Food: 1-2 times per year in the spring and fall for potted trees. Cut trees don’t need fertilizer.

Arber Product: Organic Bio Protectant. Extend the life and vibrancy of the trees through the entire holiday season by diluting Arber’s Bio Protectant solution into the basin water. Spray diluted Bio Protectant onto the foliage of the evergreen tree before decorating.

*Pro Tip: After two weeks indoors, a potted evergreen tree may begin to suffer because of the warm temperatures. Move it outside once the festivities have passed and continue to water.
